CHRISTINE JONES, ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Born and raised in Arkansas, Christine comes to King’s Cross and Tullahoma by way of Jefferson City, Tennessee.

God first called Christine into ministry as a young teen. She has spent her life preparing for, exploring, and living into that calling. She majored in Biblical Studies at Ouachita Baptist University, earned an M.Div. from George W. Truett Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Old Testament from Baylor University. She has served churches in Arkansas, Texas, and Tennessee in various ministry roles and taught at Carson-Newman University for thirteen years. Early in her ministry journey, Christine met and married Greg. Together they have two adult daughters, Bethany and Kathryn.

Christine believes in the abundant and transforming love of God, which we see most fully revealed in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Christine enjoys helping others recognize, accept, and live out of God’s transforming love.

Studying, teaching, and preaching the Bible, laughing with family around the dinner table, kayaking, reading, baking, and the sunshine—all these things make Christine’s heart sing.
